Born and raised in Oregon, Laura O’Brien's artistic journey began at age 12 while painting alongside her grandfather, a talented watercolorist. After a successful career in commercial design and photography, she has returned to her first love—painting.

While Laura may be new to the walls of House of Orange, she’s a familiar and much-loved presence in the Cannon Beach art scene. Many collectors and visitors will recognize her from Northwest by Northwest Gallery, where her vibrant, whimsical paintings brought smiles and sparked imaginations for years.

Memories of neighborhoods, coastal walks, and cherished places inspire her work. Through vibrant color, whimsical imagery, and layers of intricate detail, she creates paintings that invite viewers to explore, discover, and revisit. Blending abstracted reality with playful surprises, each piece tells a unique visual story and reflects her passion for transformation, creativity, and joyful expression.
