Step into an enchanting afternoon of art and imagination at Steidel Hall in Cannon Beach. Join us for a magical figure drawing session featuring three costumed Mermaids, dancers from the Astoria Mermaids & Pirates dance revue, who will serve as your live models.

Spend a few blissful hours immersed in sketching as the live costumed Mermaids hold a variety of expressive poses. Artist & art teacher Ben Butcher leads the session — truly a must-meet creative whose process is as inspiring to watch as it is to learn from. Observing him work is an experience in itself.

✨ Paper and drawing supplies will be available, or bring your preferred paper and drawing materials (pencils, charcoal, pastels, clipboards, etc.). 
🍷 The Wine Shack will serve complimentary drinks to keep the creative energy flowing.
🎶 Live ambient music by Travis Hartnett will set the mood throughout the session.
💃 To close the experience, the Mermaids will perform a mesmerizing belly dance finale.

Whether you're a seasoned artist or simply curious to try figure drawing in a whimsical setting, this is your chance to sketch, sip, and be inspired. Children 8 and up may attend with an adult.
